ABOUT SCL INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE
SCL International College's roots go back to 2013 when it opened as The Stay Academy. In 2017 the company rebranded to become Stay Campus London and expanded to include four campuses, each one offering its own flair and personality, yet also providing a consistently safe and supportive environment for international students.
In 2021, the school achieved accreditation to provide private further education to international students, thus the school rebranded once more to SCL International College. We now proudly offer Secondary and Higher Education pathway programmes to complement our existing portfolio of English language courses for young learners and adult students.
We have four locations across London:
- Camden
- Kentish Town
- North Acton
- Hanger Lane
Please see our Accommodation page for more details.
As a UK-based language school, we are regularly inspected by the British Council.
We are also proud members of several education industry bodies such as ALTO (Association of Language Travel Operators), BETA (British Education Travel Associations), and English UK.
Our accommodation unit, The Stay Club, is also certified by the National Code, CUBO and we are a registered examination centre for Trinity College London.
Please see our About us page for more details.
SCL International College is a fully accredited language school with three locations in London. We offer a wide variety of language programmes for children, teenagers and adults - see our adult course listings here and see our courses for juniors and teens here.
The Stay Club is our accommodation business, which is located in the same building as the school, offering our students safety and convenience. Students and young professionals can book accommodation at The Stay Club even if they are not studying at SCL. Please see here for an overview of all campuses, or visit thestayclub.com for more details.
Each of our three campuses has CCTV both in and outside of the building. Our Reception Desk is manned 24/7 and security personnel is in place at nighttime. There is also a key-card operating system in place in all our buildings and visitor’s registration logbooks so we can trace people who are going in and out of our buildings.
No students under the age of 16 can leave the residence without a Group Leader. We also have a curfew time of 22:00 for students over the age of 16 and 21:30 for those under 16.
More details can be found on our Safeguarding Policies page.
All of our campuses follow all UK government advice and rules for keeping students and staff safe. For all new safety measures implemented since 2020, please see our Covid-19 page.

Individuals & Group Bookings
If you are booking as an individual student and you are at least 16 years old, then you can enrol on any of our courses (except Discover London and some Exam Prep courses).
If you are booking on behalf of a group, we can customise any of our courses according to your needs and academic goals.
For any booking enquiries, it's best to contact us so we can offer personalised advice and support.
We provide an impressive support network for all of our students. You'll take a level test prior to arrival to measure your English skills and ensure you're placed in the right course. Throughout your time with us, we will work with you to ensure you meet your academic and personal goals. Additionally, our accredited teachers are all native English speakers, and you have easy access to extra study materials in our libraries, free of charge.
In addition to this personalised attention, another reason why students make so much progress here is because we offer all-inclusive experience where you can live and learn under the same roof, meaning that you are in an English-speaking environment 24/7. This gives you ample opportunities to practice your English, get accustomed to different accents, and even learn subconsciously as you're chilling out watching English-speaking movies in our huge cinema or joining an impromptu game of pool with a new friend in one of our lounges.
If you come from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, then you will need a UK student visa to study on a course that lasts for longer than six months. We advise you to check the following UK government webpages for visa information:
- https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk
- https://www.gov.uk/guidance/visiting-the-uk-from-1-january-2021
If you require a visa invitation letter, you will receive it after you send us your completed booking form and secured your booking with a 10% deposit. We issue visa invitation letters within 72 working hours of receiving your form and deposit.
As soon as you’ve paid your booking in full and finalised all your booking details (ideally 4 weeks prior to your arrival), we will send you the final confirmation documents.
If your visa application has been refused, it's important that you contact us immediately for further assistance. We require a copy of visa refusal letters to be received within 48 working hours from the moment you were notified by your embassy.
We do not require any insurance in order for you to enrol on our courses. However, we do provide this as an extra service if you would like our assistance in choosing the right insurance coverage when you study in London.
Yes! We have a rolling admissions policy, which means that classes begin every Monday. We teach all year round including on public holidays (known as Bank Holidays in the UK). The only time we don't hold classes is during the last two weeks of each year, but our buildings remain open during this time.
For special requests such as group bookings, we are happy to teach 362 days of the year (except on Dec 25, 26 and Jan 1).
