ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES

The course centres on planning, producing, and self-reviewing academic writing, especially argumentative research essays, vital in university-level academics.

Examining the structure of an argumentative essay, it embraces a universal framework for any topic. Providing practical advice on brainstorming, online research, and assessing information source quality.

Additionally, learners will receive guidance on adopting the appropriate stance and voice in academic writing, ensuring contextual language and tone, and correct academic referencing. The final segment covers revising, editing, recognizing common university genres, and practical tips for identifying consistency, structure, formatting, and common writing errors.

Minimum Level: CEFR B2
